North Dakota Secretary of State - Elections

The State of North Dakota is the only state that does not have a procedure for registering to vote or registering political parties. It is quite odd. See the website below. Call the Secretary of State’s office if you have any questions.

Getting Ready for April 15th

Over the next few weeks or months I will be posting basic information about the Elections Offices in each of the 50 States. Each State will be it's own post so that others can comment on that particular state. I'd like to see this site be a place where people can share information about the process (hassle) of being registered to vote in each state.

This outrageous practice by the Democrat and Republican Parties is a good reason to change your voter registration. Join us on Friday, April 15th to send these yoyos a message.

Prepare for the Voter Registration Change Bomb

Over the next few weeks I will be posting information about voter registration for all 50 states. It is important that people be able to go to the correct voter registration office for their area with the proper identification.

Let's show the parties that We, the People mean business when we say we want choices and changes.

Preparing for the Voter Registration Change Bomb

Direct your friends to this site. I'm hoping that others will contribute their ideas as well. I know that very few people are thinking much about Friday, April 15, 2011 right now. I just want to keep this alive somehow.

Friday, April 15, 2011

It would be cool if we could generate enough enthusiasm so that people would be motivated to go to their local elections office and change their registration after mailing in their taxes. This would be a great way to spend a Friday afternoon. Let's inform the two party system that we don't like them at all!

Welcome to VoterRegistrationChangeBomb

I firmly believe that the two party duopoly is totally disfunctional at both the State and National levels. I want this blog to be very interactive for the purpose of getting people to change their voter registration and abandon the Republican and Democrat parties. Here is what I suggest you do:

1. Look at parties in their districts that have ballot access and choose a new party if you find one you like.

2. Change their registration to indicate that they do not want to be a member of either the Democrats or the Republicans. This means you could register as “Decline to State,” “I do not wish to be enrolled in any political part,” or some variation thereof.

3. They should not register “Independent” or “Independence” unless they like the political party using that name of which there are several. I advocate using # 2 above.

I've tried once to change from one of the two parties to "I do not want to be enrolled in any political party." The last time I checked my change had not been processed. I think the people in charge of voter registration in this country are so deeply emeshed in the two party system that they really want to discourage folks from doing as I advocate.
