I firmly believe that the two party duopoly is totally disfunctional at both the State and National levels. I want this blog to be very interactive for the purpose of getting people to change their voter registration and abandon the Republican and Democrat parties. Here is what I suggest you do:


1. Look at parties in their districts that have ballot access and choose a new party if you find one you like.

2. Change their registration to indicate that they do not want to be a member of either the Democrats or the Republicans. This means you could register as “Decline to State,” “I do not wish to be enrolled in any political part,” or some variation thereof.

3. They should not register “Independent” or “Independence” unless they like the political party using that name of which there are several. I advocate using # 2 above.

I've tried once to change from one of the two parties to "I do not want to be enrolled in any political party." The last time I checked my change had not been processed. I think the people in charge of voter registration in this country are so deeply emeshed in the two party system that they really want to discourage folks from doing as I advocate.
